With over 13 years’ experience in planning Jacqui has been an essential ingredient to Ireneinc Planning since 2007, having provided in-house planning services to three southern councils as well as managing a diverse range of the practices own projects. She has attended hearings before the Tasmanian Planning Commission as well as at appeals before the Planning Tribunal on behalf of private clients and councils including participating in the mediation processes involved. Jacqui has undertaken the preparation of detailed submissions to councils in support of applications for development and for planning scheme amendments.
Previously, Jacqui worked in local government, for just under 9 years with Clarence City Council. During her time there she undertook a range of roles within the planning group including senior statutory planner, where she was responsible for the assessment of major development and subdivision applications as well as strategic amendments to Council’s Planning Schemes, and as acting manager for the group covering periods of leave.
More recently Jacqui has attended the Development and Building in Bushfire Prone Areas course run by University of Technology Sydney as part of the certification process for undertaking the assessment of bushfire plans. This certification process will be launched once the required legislative changes have been passed.
As an active member of the Planning Institute of Australia, Jacqui is the current editor of the Tasmanian Divisions quarterly magazine, the Tasmanian Planner.
